I'm on 19.3 Xfce and when I set auto complete in Onboard, it warned me that I'd need to log out in order for it to work. As the Settings app points out, text suggestions for the hardware keyboard aren’t available in some languages. Scroll down to the Hardware keyboard section and enable the Show text suggestions as I type option. Otherwise, if there is no feasible way for me to type text in linux mint (or any other distro) then I will have to go back to Windows 10, which I want to avoid at all costs Thanks in advance. Click the Devices icon in the Settings window.
Or is there any way to modify onboard via source to easily have Win 10 OSK like predictive word completion? If so, please guide me in that direction. I desperately need suggestions for a paid/free virtual keyboard software with mandatory predictive word completion feature that works on all apps for linux, like Windows 10 On-screen keyboard, as I'm handicapped & this is my primary mode of typing. Moreover, when these suggestion do work inside terminal, they're just autocomplete search of my own typing history inside the terminal with no context based predictions. Hi everyone, I'm typing this with onboard in linuxmint 19.3 cinnamon without any word completions/suggestions even though they're enabled in onboard preferences.
